This area is great for overhead sized breaks, and offers surfers a two-mile stretch of beach to catch waves. The quickest and cheapest route to the break is to grab a ride with one of the many fishing boats which leave from Playa Tammarindo.

Ollie’s Point

Direct your surfboard to the South or Southwest to catch some mid-low tides or outgoing tides at Ollie’s Point. This area is known for its endless surfing opportunity, because the waves keep coming moment after moment towards this rock-based beach. When you want a slow entry Ollie’s Point is the best spot for advanced surfing. This surf spot gets it’s name for Oliver North, apparently he liked to use this spot as a drop off point for guns and supplies many years ago.
