 Tamarindo Beach Marathon
It’s time to lace up your running shoes, grab your Gatorade and get ready to hit the asphalt for this year’s Tamarindo Beach Marathon to be held in the beautiful coastal town of playa Tamarindo in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste province.
In recent years, the beach town of Tamarindo, located in the province of Guanacaste, has turned into a popular site for hosting various sports and athletic activities such as golf tournaments, surf championships and even mountain bike races. This year, the marathon category can be added to the list.
The Tamarindo Beach Marathon is a unique opportunity for athletes to combine their love for running with a beautiful natural environment as the race allows participants to run through one of the most exotic tropical scenery of the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
This year’s event which takes place on the 17th September is expected to draw a field of 500 – 900 athletes from all over the world who have an option of five challenging courses consisting of a Full Marathon, a 30Km, a Half Marathon, a 10Km and also a 5Km fun run.
