What on Earth is Villa? And a Tamarindo Vacation Villa?

Does anybody really know what a villa is? The term villa probably does not come up in your daily conversations, unless you are talking about vacations or second-homes. The short definition for a villa is a country residence or estate. The Romans provide extensive history for villas, and the word differs slightly in meaning throughout the globe. A Tamarindo vacation villa, other than delightful, is just what it sounds like- a country residence or estate for vacations in Tamarindo.

The Tamarindo vacation villas are more estates than country residences (though at one point could have been considered a country residence). Unlike some country residences, the Tamarindo vacation villas offer the same values as a modern day villa—Internet, cable TV and a full kitchen. Many of the Tamarindo vacation villas are set on a piece of land complete with beautiful tropical gardening. The grass may look the same as yours at home, but that will likely be all.
